DC++ is a software application based on the famous Direct Connect protocol, but with the big difference that this one is created under GPL license.
This powerful software has different characteristics to Direct Connect but all of them are generally optimized and they offer the users diverse options and functions such as entering the different Hubs, Slot extra private users, it also allows for a alternative font search in an automatic way.
This software based on the Hubs concept, which is a combination of IRC and FTP channels is administered by different operators which keep the order and eliminate those users that do not have requirements.
Thanks to this software you will be able to create your own server and create in it an interchange group, so if you really want to enter you need to count with a great amount of material.
