MSN Messenger is an instant messenger developer by Microsoft that, allied with Hotmail e-mail system, it has been offering through the years the chance that users chat among them in real time.

The first “MSN Messenger” was on July 22nd, 1999, so all Hotmail users can chat in real time, avoiding delays and insecurities that at that time the different e-mail clients have.
That version had only the basic options, which do not go beyond the contact list and text without format.
Without expecting such number of user in a period so short, Microsoft (MSN Messenger developer) was obliged to launch the second program version shortly after the first one in order to solve all the problems caused by the services saturation.
As a result, on November 16th, 1999, the second “MSN Messenger” version was launched. ¿Which was the difference between both versions? Mainly that the second one included the chance to edit all the chat windows, it also make improvements on the new way that will be launched one year later Windows Me to install programs, including a different installer than those known in that time.
Further on it was added the rest of the improvements mentioned at the beginning of this article, but to achieve this they have worked hard because it was no longer simple do the changes that they have in mind. Each of the subsequent version included some different advantage, although when analyzing its functionally there were many things to be evaluated, because some of them decreased the software performance.
About 7 years later, the 7.0 version of “MSN Messenger” was launched, which has all the advantages you can enjoy nowadays. Achieving that all the versions work together was a challenge for the developers of this utility, who after years of constant working they can be satisfied with the results.
The 7.5 update would take about two years to be launched on the Web, but it would not take longer without requiring obligatory updates because of security problems.

Unlike the minimum requirements, the recommended ones are for the users to have a really optimum functioning in the MSN Messenger running. You should not forget that the previous versions only allow the program to run basically.
