7-Zip Installation Manual.

In order to start you should double click on the downloaded installer icon. The welcome screen will show you the 7-Zip installation path (1). To continue, click on “Install” (2).

The application window is very simple and intuitive. In the window (1) you can see the file path. This window allows selecting the file to be compressed or decompression, you should only select it and choose the action to perform. Inside the folder there is an audio file with the title of “thinking on…” (2).

You can select it with just a mouse click (1) and then click on add button (2). In this way, the 7-zip compression interface will be started.

In the interface window you can see several tabs to be selected as parameters. Those are for configuring the output file.

1-You can choose the name of the output compressed file.

2-Here you can select the file extension, for example 7-zip, zip, tar, etc

3-In this tab you can select the compression level, as follows: without Compression, fast, normal, maximum, or ultra.

4-You can chose the compression type: LZMA, PPMD or BZIP2.

5-Here you can select the dictionary size, which can vary between 64 KB and 64MB.

6-The word size in characters, from 8 to 273.

7-The maximum compact block once reconstituted.

8-Password for decompressing the file.

In case you wish to decompress a file, you should only select it from 7-zip window and click on “Extract” (1), specifying the path to create it.
