[edit] Installation

Now we are going to explain the use of iTunes in your computer.


A) The first thing you have to do to begin the application installation is to run the file you have previously downloaded: So, you can see the following screen:

Here you can see the introduction to the product installation, which will inform you about some features it has. You should select “Next” button.


B) The image you will see below has some legal information about the utility.

Here you find the iTunes license, which should be carefully read (remember that in order to continue with the installation process you have to accept it), after that you click on "Next".


C) The components and content related to the application to be installed can be selected or configured directly from the following screen.

1- In this box you can select different application options, such as: Add shortcuts from “iTunes” and from “QuickTime” to your desktop, configure "iTunes” as the predetermined audio application, or even automatically update any “Apple” program that is installed on your computer.

2- Here you will select the application language.

3- As a result, the software will be installed in the destination folder “C:\Program files\iTunes\, which can be established with just clicking on "Modify".

4- To start the installation you should click on “Install”.


D) The utility installation can be seen in an image similar to the following one:

In box 1 you can see the installation progress bar, once it finishes you have to click on “Next”, indicated by box 2.


E) Once the installation progress bar finishes, you have successfully installed “iTunes” on your computer.

You can select the application to be run after this process finishes, selecting the "Open iTunes after quitting the installer" and then click on finish.

iTunes has an user interface really simple, which includes different options that make the program interaction easier.

1) Here you can see the main application bar that has options like file, edition, control configuration, virtual store for purchasing multimedia contents, advanced options and a complete help menu.

2) In order to control the medium reproduction completely, you are going to click on special buttons on the application interface.

3) Practical Volume control.

4) This set of 3 little tags allows you to modify the aspect of files which are located in the main application interface.

5) Searching bar for localizing any file added to the application.

6) Here you can have access to the data related to the tags of your multimedia files: they can be arranged according the medium name, album, artist, genre, etc.

7) The songs and videos added to the library will appear in the middle of the interface, in order to reproduce them you should do double click on them.

8) In order to have the best organization of your files, it has been included a medium library really simple to use, in which it can be arranged as "Music", "Movies", "TV programs", "Podcast" and "Online radio stations".

9) iTunes gives you the chance to have your favourite songs and discs without moving from home, because you can have access to an online medium store use for legally distributing them.

10) From this position you can modify and manage the playlists from you multimedia files.

11) Advanced options: It has the chance to create a new list, activate or deactivate the random mode, repeat the playlist or any particular element, and show or hide a file or video illustration.

12) Start, show or hide the lateral Genius bar.
